  • Sky Player on Xbox Building on the success of Sky Player on Xbox we were tasked on developing version 2 of the Sky Player. This version was based on the Metro UI, which is cleaner fresher updated graphical approach which was part a pert of a wider Xbox interface redesign. We also had to consider how we would make use of Kinect technology.

Working alongside with the Sky and Xbox UK teams our challenge was to create a beautiful user friendly interface while at the same time adding a range of new features to the Sky Player while keeping everything on brand. These new features included social (twitter and facebook), sharing, and quick film reviews.

Working closely with a UX designer we created a considered, confident easy to use interface which helped bring the Sky Player V2 forward.

  • Save the Date Save the date email to celebrate the wedding of Amber & Lee. A lovely job to work on, with lots of creative freedom and a fun narrative to convey. Lee and Amber wanted a unique save the date email for their wedding, something personal and memorable. We decided a great way to invite people to their wedding is by telling the story of how they met and their story so far.

Visually I wanted to keep this fun and light-hearted using a mix of fonts, sizes, colours and iconography to simply and elegantly guide people through their journey from being single to married.

  • Asics Man vs Machine. Tube stations are closer than you think.

To mark the launch of the new ASICS store in London, an installation and website was created challenging members of the public to race against 2006 World Triathlon Champion, Tim Don and the London Circle Line over 3 separate races using a custom treadmill developed in house.

The runner is constantly updated with their progress while running. Using large typography, a clear visual language, and constant updates the runner can quickly see how well they're performing.

I was responsible for the design of the in-store graphics which were displayed on multiple screens throughout the store, and also used on the microsite.

  • Daft Punk - Discovery Becks Inspired art challenged designers to choose an album from Pitchfork's "Album of the Decade" list and re-imagine the cover. I chose Discovery by Daft Punk. My aim was to create a cover which reflected my favourite tracks on the album such as Nightvision, High Life and Aerodynamic. Keeping the energy of the album present but also reflecting the calm littered throughout certain tracks.

I visualised this using sketches and illustrations exploring abstract depiction's of discovery. The final artwork was created 3D to help realise the vision for the album cover, maintaining the theme of discovery, perspective and what is beyond the horizon.

  • The Waves A Personal Illustration inspired by a trip abroad. I created a rich, layered illustration to mirror the atmosphere, (or at least my memories). My plan is to print a large version and frame it. I just need to find the time and perfect frame.     2008 Illustration, Design
  • Milk Matters 2009 Milk matters, a website with lots of animation and interactive wonder. The Idea for the site was to create a ‘Cravendale World’ with which the user could interact with every component of the page, throw boxes around, pour content out of boxes even draw on the page Filled with easter eggs throughout the site we wanted people to explore and find out just what Cravendale is all about.

I was responsible for the art direction and design of the site, working with technical lead to bring the world of Cravendale to life.
A really fun job which involved creating our Cravendale world, and populating with graphics which was only restricted by our imagination.

  • Lurpak At Outside Line I was responsible for design and art direction of the revamped hub page for the Lurpak site. A simple site used as a window to push users to other related Lurpak websites.

We had great assets from the client emphasising the simplicity of Lurpak, their ingredients and real food, we decided to complement this throughout the new visual aesthetic of the site. Creating a design that communicated food being at the centre of all things Lurpak, the mess, the spills and the fun of cooking. Once this style had been decided on and finalised it was implemented throughout different sections of the site.

  • F1 Rocks Concept Concept screen for the F1 Rocks website. F1 Rocks website is the destination for F1 and music fans alike. After each grand prix A-list pop artists gather to play to packed out audiences in the same city. Tickets can be bought through the site, photos and videos uploaded by fans and artists. A strong social aspect runs through the core of the site.

My design approach was to employ a minimal approach to help showcase the wealth of information that had to be communicated. The homepage had to feel alive so a constant stream of new photos, tweets and a live countdown would always be visible. Block colours full bleed images and small details were used to support the visual approach.
